Thomas Couch Richards

Trooper 4132824 Thomas Couch Richards served in the 18th (5th BN. The Loyal Regt.) Regt., Reconnaissance Corps. He was captured in the Fall of Singapore, and died 31st August 1943 aged 33 whilst working on the infamous death railway in burma. He is commemorated in Thanbyuzayat War Cemetery, Myanmar (Burma). He was the son of George Jestenyn and Clara Richards, of Delabole (formerly Port Isaac), and is also commemorated on their memorial at St Endellion Churchyard (Grave E 105).
