1947 postcard of Port Isaac, titled ‘Fishermen painting their boats on the Platt, Port Isaac’. The postmark on this card is Bodmin 1947 and it was sent to SGM JL Rowe who was in the Royal Signals and stationed at Dalton Airfield, Thirsk, Yorkshire.
The wording on the card reads, “Have just won a bottle of whisky in a raffle so am sending this pic on the strength of it. Hope you get it in time. Lovely weather today. Am now going out with the papers. Love Aunt? x”
